Chef Kimberley Calvo

My passion for all things food started when I was young.  Our weekends often meant going to Seattle’s Pike Place Market, gardening, helping my dad grill steaks and smoke fish he had caught, watching my Noni make fresh egg noodles by hand.  All of these memories have led me to where I am today, with the start of The Seasonal Palate.

Changing careers for me was a leap of faith.  In 1999 I graduated from the Seattle Culinary Institute, earning the Outstanding Culinarian Award.  I was off and running in the world of restaurants, culinary competitions, catering, corporate dining and being a private chef, but from the beginning, my dream and goal was to run my own business, show my own vision, perform to my own standards.

After many years of working towards this goal, The Seasonal Palate has evolved to be that vision.  Artful, Simple, Clean is how I choose to present myself and my craft.
